Richard developed the Stack and Slide Freezer Basket system in 1968 and soon established Hamster Baskets to sell directly to the public, expanding his product range to include his innovative dog crates for vehicles.  Richard decided to step back from the day to day running of the business and handed the reins over to Sarah, his daughter, and Brian, our production manager.  Then in 2022 Daren Locke and his family took over the running of the business keeping it firmly in the family-run tradition that Richard was so passionate to uphold. Brian our production manager continues in his role and has been with Hamster Baskets since 1971 providing us with a wealth of experience and knowledge.
